Teknaf is an upazilla of Cox’s Bazar district . It has 23675
units of house hold and total area 388.68 km². The tidal range at the
Teknaf coastal area is strong influenced Naaf river estuary. The area is
blessed with a warm tropical climate and sufficient rainfall which enable to
support a wide biological diversity. It is full of nature and mountain area
beside the Bay of Bengal.
Marine Drive: Marine Drive is a road of path to Cox’s Bazar
from Teknaf. It is an another way to Cox’s Bazar from Teknaf. It has passed
through Samlapur Union. It is totally remote area in Teknaf.
BGB(Bangladesh Border Guard) is always
standing there for checking people and every transportation like motorbike, bus
and any other vehicles. It goes between Bay of Bengal and green mountain. When
someone goes with this Marine Drive he or she will get Bay of Bengal in one
side and beautiful mountain in another side in whole of this path. It is
totally beautiful and mind freshing scenery.
Naf River is a
river marking the border of Bangladesh and Myanmar.The Naf River's average
depth is 128 feet (39 m) and maximum depth is 400 feet (120 m).Historically,
Shapuree Island located at the mouth of the river, plays an important role and
is considered as one of the immediate causes for the first Anglo-Burmese War.
It is very nice looking from the sandy, muddy and salty bank. Naf River is a
historical river. It is beautiful for its wide and long range. A new jetty is being made by Teknaf
government for going to Sent Martin Island.
Teknaf People goes to Sent Martin with their normal and usual boat. It is very risky and dangerous for new comer and tourist. But Teknaf to Sent Martin they have to pass the way trough Bay of Bengal. But the usual boat is cheap for them to move. If tourist wants to go with this boat it's feeling will be great for him absolutely. and seems that we are a side of the world there is nothing without water and
sunshine. Sands under the feet and sun above the head making us joy and thirsty
of nature. It is not less than list of mountain and not less than blowing wind
over the yellow and green field. In the evening sun setting scenery over the beach is awesome. Everything looks like then is under the cover and glowing the beauty from the beneath.
It is situated almost 5-6kilo from Teknaf sadar. An easy
bike and motorcycle and private goes there taking their client. 10tk cost in
easy bike for a person. After 15-20 mints going you can see the sea and sand
infront of you. In There sea will receive you with roaring of water. This beach is so long and wide upto Cox's Bazar. Every day many living people come here and enjoy the day with their family, friends and relatives. Many tourist come here every day and enjoy the beauty of Bay of Bengal and bank of the sea standing many jhau tree.
Many boats is waiting for
catching fish in the middle of the sea. Many fishermen live here without
repentance and risking their life in the sea. They are our hidden and most
behind person who is catching fish for us and we taste this in many ways. Many
flag is flying on the boat and introducing people with them. It looks like naturally beautiful. The life of fisherman is amazing. Struggling with roaring sea they catch fish and bring it to us at last.
